Geographical Indications (GIs) are expected to be one of the more contentious issues in forthcoming trade negotiations between the EU and Australia and New Zealand. This presentation and panel discussion provides an opportunity to understand the key issues.

Mr John Clarke is the Director for International Relations at Directorate-General Agriculture at the European Commission. He was previously Head of the European Union Delegation to the World Trade Organization and the United Nations in Geneva. He joined the European Commission in 1993 as a Trade Negotiator, and prior to that Mr Clarke was for ten years an official of the Hong Kong Government, including the Head of Cabinet of the Governor of Hong Kong.
